ALPHA Program 2017

Chinese Apostolate had their ALPHA program introduction and briefing on 9/7/2017 at 3.30pm.

There were about 65 people attended this briefing, including 3 non-Catholic and 15 facilitator from Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur.

First part of the orientation was sharing on the topics of “Christianity; is it Boring, Untrue, and Irrelevant?”  Is our world changing, in trouble or in danger?  Why am I born? And what is my purpose of life?  These are the questions we might be thinking, but not having the answer.  Bible verses quoted in John Chapter 14 verse 6: Jesus said “I am the way; the truth and the life” were introduced to this topic.

It was an inspiration and interesting talk with some touchingnews and personal sharing of faith.

Second part was the briefing of program outline.

This program consists of ten weekly meetings including a meal, a talk and small group reflection, there is also a retreat and celebration dinner.

Program is scheduled every Saturday from 5pm to 10pm, convering 2 topics each time. The course will start on 15/7/2017 and end on 19/8/2017. See Outline of the Alpha Course in table.

At the end of the introductory talk, 30 persons registered for the program.

The session ended at 5pm after an evening tea and fellowship.
