The Sunday school of Chinese Apostolate group organised a children camp at the church premises on Friday 28 October.
It was a day camp for children from age 7 to 12 and the theme of the day was "Party @ the Sheepfold".
The camp started at 8am with a light breakfast being served, followed by praise and worship.
The day's activities included games, art and crafts, action songs, dance and making of sandwiches.
During the camp, the organiser screened a video to explain the meaning of Christmas. There was a short sharing session on Jesus' birthday, why and how we celebrate Christmas.
It was then followed by an art and craft session where the children were fascinated in the making a 3D paper Christmas tree and an origami Santa Claus.
The children had a simple and yet delicious lunch that included Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Bacon, fried rice with ham, nuggets, French fries, jelly and watermelon. Kudos to the organiser for doing a tremendously fine job by cooking the food in the church cafeteria so that the children could enjoy home-cook food.
Highlight of the evening was making sandwiches. Children learned to make their own sandwiches for tea break that came with ice-cream of the day.
The camp ended at 5pm with prize giving for games, handing out of goodies bags with souvenir, and a sharing session of the day.
It was a fun-learning day for the children as they shared that they would take part again in the next camp.
