Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, Ipoh, Malaysia

Close to 300 parishioners from the English, Chinese and Indian speaking community participated in the retreat.

The English and Chinese group held their retreat at The Haven Resort at Tambun while the Indian speaking group held theirs at OMPH Church hall.

Fr Paul Michael Kee facilitated for the English speaking group using the writings of Henri Nouwen, a Dutch Priest, writer and theologian on the topic 'Beloved'

Fr Stephen Liew conducted the retreat for the Chinese speaking group while Fr Joseph Stephen conducted for the Tamil speaking parishioners.

Suggestions for activities during the Year of Mercy included
corporal and spiritual works of mercy.

The participants for the retreat were a very participative and a positive mix from a wide age grouping and resembled a big family gathering participating in the retreat activities, sharing their lunch together amidst friendly networking

After lunch the youth from the parish helped to facilitate the icebreakers that put all the participants in the mood.

At night a fellowship was held at the Church hall the usual Malaysian way with a ‘makan besar’ that was enjoyed by all.
